AmericInn by Wyndham Madison West

I stay here MANY times throughout the year for work trips. Always a pleasant experience. Rooms are always clean, desk help is great. Breakfast is AMAZING! Happy hour every day is great especially after a long day. Hands down, the BEST Wyndham property in Dane County. Ive been a Diamomd member for many years, and this is probably the nicest Wyndham property in the midwest!

Clean. No noticeable traffic noise from nearby streets. Quiet during our stay. We found the service staff to be responsive to our needs. The breakfast buffet has a nice array of options. Pool and fitness room, both small, are available. Very close to a crazy array of shopping and restaurants. We come to Madison quite often and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Overall we had a very good experience at the AmericInn Madison West. We arrived and my reservation could not be found, despite me having a confirmation email. The manager, Martez, was able to match and actually slightly beat the rate I had booked at and it wasn't an issue at all. Our room was clean and very functional, with plenty of power outlets for charging various electronic devices. My only complaint about the room is that the mattress was on the thin side and there's no box spring (just a spring platform under the mattress), so it wasn't spectacular. That said, it wasn't horrible, and we were able to sleep decently. The rooms and hallways have clearly recently been remodeled, and everything was clean and in good repair. When walking by an open room one morning, we noticed a housekeeper dusting above the closet area in the room that was being cleaned, a good attention to detail. The hotel itself is not new, but is very well maintained. It appears that it was a Hampton Inn in a previous life, but has been a well-maintained AmericInn for a number of years now. The pool and hot tub were decently sized and in good condition, with plenty of towels available. I really appreciated the pool area being open late until Midnight, and adults-only after 10:00 PM. While we didn't take advantage of it, there was a small fitness center, and also an outdoor patio with seating and a gas barbecue grill available for guest use. The location is on the west edge of town, with a number of nearby restaurants and businesses, and a surprisingly busy shopping mall nearby. Parking is free on the surface lot around the hotel which is also shared with a restaurant across the parking lot. A Lyft ride to/from downtown Madison on a weekend night was about $17 each way. Something very unique is the daily happy hour/manager's reception in a converted hotel room on the ground floor. The reception included complimentary nachos with cheese and popcorn, plus two self-service tap beers (Spotted Cow and Miller Lite), and also carafes of wine, all at no charge. This was a nice little way to meet some fellow travelers and enjoy a light snack and beverage. The included breakfast was one of the most complete breakfast setups I have seen for a budget hotel. Multiple hot items including eggs, potatoes, and breakfast meat, plus waffles, bagels and toast, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. Cereal and milk and juice were also included. Coffee was available 24/7 by the front desk. Manager Martez seemed to be at the desk just about every time I walked past, and always said hello. He runs a great operation, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on a future trip to Madison.

Great price and hotel, room was very clean. Yummy breakfast. Nice staff. Online check in and check out very helpful as we arrived later in the night. Pool and hot tub looked clean, we didn't use them. We def plan on coming back!

This is a good value for the money. Very clean, no odors just fresh. Linens are very clean, including the comforter and bedspread. Location seems safe and night time security to enter building is comforting. Great place to stay during a horse emergency at the UWM vet hospital.

We were 4 people in a two queen room. It was a little tight but clean and comfy. The pool and hot tub were great, perfect temperature. The breakfast was amazing! Lots of choices and very good.

Stayed at AmericInn in September 2025 Had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was very clean, the included breakfast was one of the best feee breakfasts I’ve had at a hotel, the “Manager’s happy hour” from 5-7pm everyday with free beer (Mille Lite and New Glarius Spotted cow) and popcorn and nachos was a pleasant surprise, staff was friendly. The room was very clean, updated, nice colors, carpet vacuumed well (one of my hotel hot buttons). I did see that pets are allowed (not my favorite thing to see at a hotel), but did not smell any pet smells nor see any pets in the building. When I checked in, I wasn’t a fan of the view from my window (I spend a lot of time at the hotel room desk doing computer work, so a nice view is of value to me), and asked to get moved and the staff was happy to make that change.

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast with lots of options. Pool seemed nice but we didn't use. Location seemed normal. Not familiar with area.
